The eBird download of Clements notes "A series of recent phylogenetic surveys of parrots document that the large genus Aratinga is not monophyletic; see Remsen et al. (2013) for a review. In accord with SACC Proposal 578 and with NACC (Chesser et al. 2014), the species of Aratinga now are distributed across four genera. As a result, the scientific name for Red-masked Parakeet changes from Aratinga erythrogenys to Psittacara erythrogenys. "
