This checklist was taken from "The checklist of the Birds of the Strybing Arboretum and Botanical Gardens", which is available to purchase from the garden bookstore. It reflects the observations of bird watchers from the late 1940's to the year 2000 within the boundary of the Botanical Gardens, and includes vagrants and rarities. This purchasable checklist also contains useful notes on the abundance and status of bird presence. It may not reflect those birds found elsewhere within Golden Gate Park.
