on wet, seepy part of old paved road in forest; with Scorpidium revolvens
A population of fruiting Rubus pubescens growing on and between hummocks in an organic eastern white cedar and balsam fir swamp, within the perimeter wetlands of the Minesing Wetland Complex. Observed near the edge of the Miller Simcoe County forest tract adjacent an unopened right of way corridor.
This is a common species in the south end of Minesing (and relatively common generally for this region), although this population was particularly healthy and was producing robust berries. One of my favourite species!
