there were several (>5) of these grayish birds hanging out high in the trees. they seemed to have a home base in the tallest tree nearby, and every once in a while, one would fly down to the smaller tree captured in these photos (Quercus nigra) to poke around, or to a fruiting yaupon holly tree (Ilex vomitoria) next to this tree, perhaps to eat a few berries.

I don't know what this is. Some kind of Domestic or hybrid Goose or Mallard I supose. It is about the size of the Canada Geese with a mallard color and shaped beak. It has white above the beak like a Greater White-fronted Goose.
