Rachel and I spent lunch walking around a little section of the park -- always good to get outside.
Window kill... :(
At lunch today, I went up to Cravens Park. Spotted some cool organisms again. :)
Dead on trail... Speed limit 2 mph by foot.
Observed at Phil Hardberger Park East -- really nice nature trails!
While Elizabeth was taking a nap and recovering from her kidney pain, I went out to get her prescriptions... Took a long time to get them, so I went around and looked for nature. :)
I forgot that I had to go in front of City Council tonight, so I had to run back up to Fort Worth to grab my shirt and tie (and shoes that aren't stained with mud!), but on the way back, I stopped at Deaver Park for just a bit to look for some birds.
Went out to McClendon Park West to see some of the new upgrades on the playground -- great stuff. Also, spotted this little red wasp just chilling out. :)
This was a long one! About 8 inches.
Bug on blue mist flower - identified by community as Cisseps fulvicollis - yellow collared scape moth. I had no idea that is what it was. Love learning about nature from this site and its community. Thanks!
found this little guy in my back yard believe it is a baby coyotte
wonder how old it might be.
Driving down Hoard road spotted this pretty flowering bog plant.
To prep for the trip to see fellow iNaters in Dripping Springs, I spent some time with the moth light this night... I'll spend a lot more time ID'ing these later on...
At lunch today, I explored this little area around Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Was hoping to see a bit more, but this area was pretty heavily mowed.
