Amature mycologist, student, and mycophile on the Kitsap Peninsula in western Washington. Started in summer of 2023.

Currently, I'm trying to learn more about further identifying mushrooms and delving into the world of microscopy in my free time.

I've never really been the biology type of guy, more math and physical science and all that. I think mycology is really interesting, and has made my understanding and appreciation of nature even more intricate and close. When I'm not looking for mushrooms, I enjoy going outside at night with my telescope and imaging the night sky.

More recently, I’ve begun taking microscopy more seriously, and using it to get images and data of my findings. The process is a bit of a pain, but in the end it is more fun than anything else. I recently purchased an AmScope B120, along with a 1MP full-color eyepiece camera. Im hoping that this, in addition to provided software, will be able to make my data a little more useful for identification - and maybe even research - purposes.

Please help me get this observation to research grade:
