I went to Houghton Garden for the 3rd time at around 5:30; it was the nearest place I could think of and I was drained from classes. This time, I tried going farther into the trail. It was a fairly chilly day and the light of day was slowly fading, but I found that the cold was actually fairly relaxing. It was a fun way to destress from a draining day. I found various mosses growing on rocks as well as at the bases of many trees; most of the flowers I saw were wilting and/or dead already. There was an abundance of ferns growing everywhere along the trail, though I didn’t stop to take pictures of every single one. I think I’ll go deeper into the forest for the next nature walk, as I didn’t go too far because I also wanted to get home and relax.
