Translated from Latin & German:
Short oval, finely gray pubescent, fine punctuation, black, shiny, prothorax anterior angles of prothorax and legs testaceous, each elytron with a wide, parallel yellow band, posteriorly not at all abbreviated. - Long. 2.5 mm. - Banana DR Congo.

A small, shiny species that is easily recognized by the yellow longitudinal band on each elytron.
Broadly egg-shaped, shiny black, with extremely dense, short and very fine gray hair, with poorly defined, reddish yellow-brown a spot in the anterior angles of the pronotum, which reaches to the inner edge of the eyes, and on the sides to behind the middle and with yellow-brown legs. On each elytron a broad longitudinal lighter, brownish yellow band. This band is uniformly wide, takes up just over 1/3 of the width of each elytron, runs parallel to the suture and is located much closer to the suture than the elytral edge. The band is black-lined on the edge: narrow and indistinct at the base, wider at its tip. You could also describe the pattern of the elytra as follows: Both have 5 longitudinal bands, a wide, black lateral one on each elytron, a similarly wide yellow one on each side to the inside, as well as a common, slightly narrower sutural band, which narrows imperceptibly at the front and back and is connected to the outer band.
The male will probably have a yellow head.
