Diario del proyecto Orchids of Western Montana

Its been a good orchid hunt year, found species that I've not seen before. Such as the Spiranthes romanzoffiana, Corallorhiza striatat and Platanthera stricta. I found a large population of Spiranthes romanzoffiana in a location that is remote enough to protect them. There were hundreds of plants, some were clumped together other scattered. Very cool to see that many in one area.
Its been a great year for hunting orchids and other interesting plants.

Its been a good year for the Hunt, new species not seen before and plenty of old friends.
Looking at the habitat and try to protect it from invasive plant species. Will be looking for new areas to explore via Google Earth/ArcMap over the winter. Maybe even an expedition to the Swan Valley for an Orchid hunt.
